Management Team
Idowu Oshokoya (Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer)
A graduate of Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos and MBA degree from the University of Maiduguri, Idowu is an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB). He is currently the chairman of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Warri Branch.
He started his banking career with the then Owena Bank Nig Ltd, which is now part of Enterprise Bank Ltd. While in Omegabank, he worked initially in the Internal Audit Department, and later became the Head of Internal Control Unit of the bank and rose to become the Operations Manager of one of the branches.
From Omega bank, he joined Ecobank Nig Plc, and worked in the following capacities: Operations Manager, Branch Manager, Area Manager, and later as the Head of SME and Local Corporate, South-South and South-East Region
Before veering into banking, he started his post university working career as an audit junior with KPMG (Chartered Accountants) before becoming a lecturer in Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, where he rose to become the acting Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance.
He has attended numerous training and seminars both locally and abroad.
Idowu is bringing over 16 years of banking experience into the microfinance banking industry, to execute Echo Microfinance Bank Ltd growth plans and propel it to becoming a leading provider of financial solutions to the teeming micro businesses in Nigeria.
Dayo Raheem (Head, Risk Management and Credit)
Dayo is currently the head of Risk Management and Credit. He holds HND degree in Business Administration and Management Studies from the Federal polytechnic, Idah. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria.
He started his career at Equity Loss Adjuster Ltd as a loss adjuster; from where he later joined and worked, briefly with Kall Wealth Investment Ltd as Store Manager. He thereafter joined Integrated Microfinance Bank Ltd as a Credit Risk Analyst.
He worked lastly with Mayfield Microfinance Bank Ltd as the Head of Cooperative Lending and later, the Head of Recovery before joining Echo Microfinance Ltd early 2011.
He has attended series of training on Loan Appraisal, loan Monitoring, loan Recovery, leadership training and relationship management.
Bimbo Otusanya (Head, Operations and Human Resources)
Bimbo is a graduate of Business Administration, from Lagos State University, Ojo. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Strategic Management, as well as a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
Bimbo joined Echo Microfinance Bank from the inception of the Bank as the Customer Service Officer. Due to her exemplary performance and dedication to duty, she rose to become the Head of Operations of the bank.
She has attended several training sessions.
Praise Idowu (Head, Marketing and Business Development)
Praise attended the University of Ado Ekiti, where he obtained Bachelors degree in Accounting in 2005. He also has Ordinary National Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering. In addition, he is an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
He started his career at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Apapa, as a transaction officer in 1999, from where he moved to other branches to serve in different sections of the operations department, including being the Customer Service Officer in Oba Akran Branch, where he served till 2007, before resigning, to start a venture of his own.
He attended series of training on relationship management, customer service, fraud prevention and detection, internal control and leadership training.
He joined Echo Microfinance Ltd in January 2011.
